Jack grew up on a local suckler beef farm based in Cheshire where he gained valuable experience in the whole farm management, specifically the grazing system. This has led to the involvement in the AHDB strategic farmers program.

Jack started working at Harvey Hughes in June 2023 as part of his placement year from Harper Adams University where he studies Agri-Business. His key interests in the industry are maximizing profits from forage, KPI benchmarking, financial budgeting and nutrient management.

In his spare time he runs a small agricultural contracting business, carrying out a round baling service around Cheshire as well as showing his pedigree Angus cattle.
